MADISON-Mary Ellen Fahey, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Nov. 6, 1932, in Kenosha, the daughter of Albert J. and Madeline Rose. Mary Ellen married William Fahey on Sept. 26, 1959, in Madison. She received a nursing degree from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Milwaukee. Mary Ellen was a nurse for many years, with the highlight of her career working with Dr. Rock at St. Mary’s. Following her retirement, she had the pleasure of being caregiver to all six of her grandchildren.
Mary Ellen is survived by her husband, Bill; three children, Bob (Deb), Jean (Dean) Oseth, Maureen (Ron) Lehmann all of Cottage Grove; six grandchildren, Peyton, Tyler, Marek, Connor, Marshall, and Nolan; and brother, Jack (Sue) Rose of Kenosha and their children, Tracy and Brody (Zenide). She was preceded in death by her son, Dave; and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
