Mark S. Wellnitz, age 49, of Orfordville, died in Waukesha on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born in Janesville on March 14, 1963, the son of Joseph E. and Beatrice (Riesterer) Wellnitz. He attended Milton High School and married Kristine "Tina" Lawrence at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Feb. 28, 1987. Mark grew up on a dairy farm where he learned that hard work was the key to a successful career. He spent the last 27 years doing what he loved, milking cows, and raising crops. When not milking cows or doing fieldwork, Mark enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, four wheeling, or snowmobiling. Mark bowled in the winter and played softball in summer. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing when time permitted. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. Mark was always willing to lend a hand or give advice when asked. He will be missed most for his childlike nature, always joking, picking, and having fun.
