MADISON-Lyle C. Schulz, age 72, of Madison, left this earthly life freed from the ravages of his Parkinson’s disease and was welcomed home by the arms of his Savior on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012. Dad loved his family and his church with the Green Bay Packers and Badger Athletics running close behind.

Lyle is survived by his wife of 15 joyful years, Lois (Laux); four children, Bonnie (Jody Nielsen) of Milwaukee, Connie (Rick) Bundy of Fitchburg, Linda (Rich) Jones of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Dary Schulz of Fitchburg; Lois’ children, Bryan (Lori) Laux, Donna Laux, David (Sandy) Laux, and daughter-in-law, Monica (the late Allan) Laux; sister, Lois (Eddie) Hochhalter of New Leipzig, N.D.; brothers, Gordon of Chicago, Ill. and Donald (Etta Marie) of Des Moines, Iowa; and sister-in-law, Darleen (the late Calvin) Schulz of Sturgis, SD. He leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of whom will miss his gentle smile.

Funeral services for Lyle will be held at PLYMOUTH CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 2401 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, with Rev. Patricia Hough presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, as well as at the Gunderson_Funeral church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
