Loren J. Oldfield

JANESVILLE---Loren J. Oldfield, age 51, of Janesville, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Janesville on Oct. 13, 1961, the son of Keith and Betty (Hoague) Oldfield and was a life-long Janesville resident. Loren married Tina M. Hoff on Aug. 29, 1986, in Janesville. He had worked for over 30 years at Wisconsin Plastic Drain Tile Corp. as a supervisor. Loren was a member of St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church, and was a former member of FFA. An avid racing fan, he raced at Jefferson, Madison and Slinger speedways. He followed Mark Martin and this fall was able to attend his first NASCAR Race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

He is survived by his wife, Tina; 3 children: Alicia (Jesse) Fraunfelder of Milton, Amanda Oldfield and Andrew (fiance', Lindsi) Oldfield both of Janesville; a granddaughter, Lili; parents, Keith and Betty Oldfield of Janesville; and 3 siblings: Sue (Melvin Kehoe) Oldfield, Steven Oldfield both of Janesville, and Sherry (Larry) Kislia of Watertown; his loving dog, Jess; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and boss, Gary Fish.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012, at ST. MARK EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Janesville, with Rev. Paul Speerbrecker officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Center Township. Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 1, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, Janesville. Memorials may be made to the UW Carbonne Cancer Center at UW Hospital, Madison.
