Lois J. Henning, age 93, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on October 3, 2016. She was born on June 9, 1923, the daughter of Everett and Marian (Worrell) Fear. She was stationed in California while she served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1943 to 1946. She married Allayne Henning on September 27, 1947 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Middleton.
Lois was an avid soccer grandma, and enjoyed her trips to the casino. She worked for the State of Wisconsin in various positions.
She is survived by her children, Gloria (Robert) Kocovsky and David Henning; her grandchildren, Christopher (Jill) Kocovsky, Melissa Kocovsky, Michelle Kocovsky; her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Joshua Kocovsky; her sister, Viola Whiting; her sister-in-law, Cleo Brockmann; her brothers-in-law, William (LaVon) Crossen and James (Beverley) Henning; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allayne in 2009; her parents; her brother-in-law, Harris Brockmann; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leola and Edwin Henning.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Lois’ family.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff and doctors at Fresenius Kidney Care and St. Mary’s Hospital, for their care of Lois.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 ENTERPRISE DRIVE, with the Rev. Ken Smith presiding. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
