Linus J. Brickl, age 87, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Greenway Manor Nursing Home in Spring Green. He was born at home in Plain on June 28, 1925, the son of the late Anton and Anne (Lins) Brickl. He was united in marriage to Viola Fingerhut on February 14, 1949. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2000. Linus was employed by Tri-County Co-op for many years, and was a member of St. Norbert Catholic Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Tony Brickl of Spring Green and Norbert (Rita) Brickl of Sauk City; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends, Craig, Jean, Amanda and Austin Sandmire, Gary and Carol Brickl, Doug and Tracy Pape, and Curt and Jean Hooverson. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Brickl; and two sisters, MaryAnne Wipperfurth and Anne Brickl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. NORBERT CATHOLIC CHURCH, Roxbury, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012. A luncheon will be held in the church basement. Following the luncheon, burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45am on Friday, November 23, 2012.
