Lester St. Clair, age 79, of Salt Lake City, Utah and formerly of Janesville, died on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at his home. He was born in Janesville, on Oct. 29, 1933, the son of Clifford and Marie (Pollock) St. Clair, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army. Lester married Lois Rowley in Rockton, IL on June 29, 1963, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 2001. Les traveled the world and was known around the world as a breeder of Top Egyptian Arabian Horses. He was a Real Estate Land Developer in Janesville. But he was known by his closest friends and family for his quick wit and keen sense of humor! He would put a smile on your face and had a endless library of jokes!
He is survived by his wife, Linda St. Clair of Utah; 2 children, Angie (Randy) Lloyd of Tennessee and Bruce St. Clair of Janesville; 4 grandchildren: Britni (Nathan) Allan, Remington (Jennifer) Church, Tiana Lloyd and John (Ashley) St. Clair; 1 great grandchild; Siena Allan, Linda's daughter, Leslie Blain; 6 siblings: Esther Osmond of Wilton, Myrtle Campbell of Missouri, Alice Kaja of Janesville, Barbara (Ray) Goede of Janesville, Clifford (Sheila) St. Clair, Jr. of Janesville, and Patricia Bouton of Janesville; and 1 step sister, Gloria Osborn. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois; step mother, Gertrude St. Clair; brother, Donald St. Clair; sister, Angeline Nordberg; and 2 step sisters, Gwendolyn Shetler, and Georgia Helling.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 15, 2013, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1800 E. Racine St., Janesville, with Rev. James Melvin officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
