Land O’ Lakes / Town of Concord – Leslie “Les” Ingersoll, age 89, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Alden Estates of Jefferson, where due to a stroke, he resided since July 1, 2013.
He was the son of Chester and Rose Ingersoll of Concord, who preceded him in death as did his brothers, Jerald and Ronald and sister, Orabelle (Eddie) Jaeger. Surviving siblings are his sisters, Nora Lee Bennett (Buss) of Oconomowoc and Shelby Jean Ingersoll of Milwaukee.
Surviving from his first marriage are his children, Gail (Jim) Seale of Alabama, Susan Zinn of Jefferson, Robert (Rose) Ingersoll of Fort Atkinson, Gary Ingersoll of Muscoda and Rev. Cathy Price of Fort Atkinson; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. From a second marriage he is survived by a son, Kevin Ingersoll of Oconomowoc and two grandchildren.
His “life partner” of many years, Marge, also preceded him in death.
Les served during WWII in the Navy, aboard the USS Bauxite. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. A graduate of Watertown High School, he enjoyed farming crops and racing.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Concord Community Center, W1095 Concord Center Drive, Sullivan, WI 53178.
Burial will be in the Town of Concord Cemetery.
Memorial donations will be used to bless the residents of Alden Estates and patients of Rainbow Hospice.
The Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
