MADISON-Laurie Ann Trott passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012, in Madison. She was born May 9, 1957, in Frankfort, Germany, the daughter of Etta Bell Raymond and William Aloise Raymond. Laurie enjoyed fishing and camping with her brother Mark, country music, making jewelry, and crocheting for her families and friends. Laurie was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Nicotine Anonymous, and Celebrate Recovery. She loved visiting her grandchildren in Minneapolis and talking on the phone with family and friends. Most memorably, Laurie had a unique way of making you feel like you were the special one during visits with her. She will be greatly missed.

Laurie is survived by her sons, Shan (Terra) Trott and Gerald Trott; grandchildren, Paraig, Gavin and Carter; brothers, Lonny, Bill, Steve (favorite sister-in-law, Sandy), Mark, Kevin (Julie), John (Adelfa), and sister, Susan (Todd) Whitbeck. Laurie was preceded in death by her mother and father, William and Etta Raymond; brother, David Raymond, and nephew, Kyle.

Funeral services for Laurie will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at Noon on Friday, November 2, 2012. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Dear Lord! Your daughter, Laurie, has been given a Life Pass and she has done her best to fill up the life pass with hole punches. Today she is turning it in to you to become one of your angels in heaven to start her second journey of life. I want to thank you, Lord, Gunderson_Funeral for blessing us with this Angel who has been such an example of courage, strength, hope, faith, and love. I was not able to walk through the gate at this time, Lord, but I got to lead her to the gate with our family. What a blessing it will be for her to be up there looking down on us. I am excited that she will be joining all the loved ones that have passed and I know she is too. I love you, sis, and I know we will see each other again. Like she says, “Whoopee!”
