MADISON-Kenneth D. Phillips, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. He was born on May 28, 1944, in Madison, the son of William and Alyce Elliott.
He married Patricia Paulson on June 18, 1966, in Madison. Kenneth worked at Oscar Mayer Foods for more than 40 years, and later at Thorstad as a shuttle driver for four years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, target practice, and tinkering on just about anything.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Renee Demrow and Wendy (Mike) Myers; four grandchildren, Dusty, Jeni, Piper Sue, and Jasper; sisters, Kathy (William) Faris and Sandra (Eldon) Sanders; brothers, Ralph (Jackie) Phillips and Myron (Maria) Phillips; sister-in-law, Barbara Lehr; many nieces and nephews; and extended family, Fred, Dave, Larry, Rick and Jim. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Adeline Franklin; sister, LaDonna Faye (Wallace) Powell; nephew, David Franklin; sisters-in-law, Janice (James) Griffin and Sharon Arnold; and brother-in-law, James Paulson.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2012. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from Noon until the time of service on Sunday. A special thank you to the staff of Agrace HospiceCare for their compassion and genuine care of Ken.
