MADISON-Joseph “Joe” Tennyson, age 33, of Madison, passed away suddenly of natural causes on Sunday, March 17, 2013. He was born on July 5, 1979, in Madison, the son of Wendy Moran and John Tennyson. Joe graduated from LaFollette High School in 1997. He worked at The Rustic Tavern for 17 years as the vice president and secretary of the organization. Joe was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan and was a member of the Madison Packer Backers. He was a wonderful golfer and bowler. Joe loved his dogs, Raji and Kya. He was humorous, charismatic, and always lit up the room with his personality. Joe loved to cook and made incredible ribs and white chicken chili.

He is survived by his parents, John (Debbie) Tennyson and Wendy (Duane) Moran; siblings, Jason (Marcia), Dan (Tiffany), Linsey (Chrisshon), Scott, Beth, Morgan (Garmit), Jeff (Susan), and Brent; nieces and nephews, Ariana, Gabriel, Aubrey, McKenzy, Oliver, Quentin, Hannah, Rebecca, Maya, Aidan, and Felix; grandmother, Virginia White; significant others, Molly, Elliott, Rosa and a baby on the way; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Betty Plachetka and Bernard “Bun” White.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at Noon on Friday, March 22, 2013, with Father Kent Schmitt Presiding. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013, and also at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday.
