James R. Wunderl, (Jim) age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday August 22nd, 2016.

Jim was born and spent most of his life in Madison Wisconsin. He attended St James Catholic School and graduated from Madison West High School. He enjoyed and excelled at playing the tenor saxophone forming his own band "Music to Sway by James Wundrell". In 1950 Jim married his beloved wife Joan Kolinski. Jim served his country in the Naval Reserve (Sea bee) for 23 years and enjoyed a prosperous 45-year career in sheet metal construction. Jim retired in 1988 and later moved to Sun Village in Surprise AZ where he enjoyed many years of entertainment and travel with Joan and community friends.

Jim is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan Wunderl; his six children and their spouses, Jim (Joline) Wunderl, Jill (Pete) Brown, Jeff (Hiroko) Wunderl, Jay Wunderl (James Castro), John (Jennifer) Wunderl and Jodie (Del) Moroni; and ten grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pat Ragula.

At Jim's request there will be no visitation. The grave side service will be held on October 5th, 2016 at 10:30 am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012.
