James W. Falk, age 60, of Milton and formerly of Janesville died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center. Jim was born on June 17, 1952 in Janesville, the son of the late Ernest L. and Sarah M. (Higgins) Falk. Jim graduated from Janesville Craig High School in 1970 and received an Associate Degree from UW-Rock County. On April 10, 1985 in Nassau, Commonwealth of the Bahamas, he married Denise M. Wagner and together they had two children, whom Jim was very proud of. Over the years, Jim has worked for Gilman Engineering, SSI and Sterling Mfg.
Jim was an accomplished woodworker, who enjoyed making furniture and other items for family and friends. With his talents, Jim was always there to help others with their projects, whether it be a kitchen remodel or putting a new deck on at their home. He was always there to help. Jim also enjoyed bow hunting, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, water skiing and tubing. Jim's strong will and determination, along with his practical jokes, will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two sons, whom he truly adored: Brendan and Jordan; brother and sister: Dr. Steven (Kimberly Bellard) Falk and Jane (Anthony) DiNicola both of Janesville; nieces and nephews: Amanda (Ryan) Copeland, Hannah Falk and Paul DiNicola; and the mother of his children: Denise Falk of Janesville. He is further survived by his aunt and uncle: Evelyn and Bill Falk of Texas; a special cousin: Sue (Gary) Lynch; and numerous other cousins, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents.
Memorials may be given to his family for a trust fund to be established for his children's education.
Private services will be held.
