MADISON-James H. Rook, age 65, of Madison, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. Born on January 28, 1947, he was a lifelong resident of Madison and graduated from East High School in 1964. Jim was employed with Cuna & Affiliates retiring in 2009 after 40 years of service. He had a variety of interests including 60’s music, Elvis, classic cars (especially his ’66 GTO). He was an avid fan of the National Hot Rod Association and drag racing. Jim enjoyed traveling and driving the Midwest states, but loved most of all supporting and following his son Tony’s sporting activities.

In addition to his son, Tony, Jim leaves behind his significant other and best friend, Gail Kipp and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at 11 a.m., with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
