SUN PRAIRIE-Hoyt Heath, age 90, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Sun Prairie Health Care Center. He was born on June 4, 1922, in the town of Buffalo, the son of William and Barbara (Payne) Heath. He married the love of his life, Alice Foley, on Apr. 8, 1944, in the parlor of the family farm house in Buffalo Township. Hoyt worked on the family farm until 1958 when he moved to Poynette and went to work for Del Monte Canning Company. In 1964, they moved to DeForest where he began work at Humiston Keeling Drug Company as a truck driver until his retirement in 1986. Hoyt and Alice also purchased the Windsor grocery store in 1965 in Windsor. After selling the store in 1975, Hoyt assisted Alice with the DeForest Garden Center. He also was a driver for RSVP for 22 years. Hoyt loved gardening, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Hoyt and Alice were active members of Arlington Methodist Church for many years and then joining Sun Prairie United Methodist Church.

Hoyt is survived by his children, Sandra (Ervin) Stiemke, Barbara (Richard) Drake, and Pam (Dick) Silvers; six grandchildren, Jarred (Amanda) Steimke, Julie (Steve) La Riviere, Rodric (Sheri) Drake, Andrea (Ron) Kreger, Jennifer (B.J.) Finley, and Sarah (Brian) Nelson; and ten great-grandchildren, Griffin, Olivia, and Axel Steimke, Jasmine and Alyssa LaRiviere, Samantha Drake, Zachary and Brielle Finley, and Kyiah and Brady Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice in February, 2012; stepmother, Marguerite Heath; brother, Allen Heath; and sister-in-law, Pat Foley.

Funeral services will be held at SUN PRAIRIE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 702 North St., Sun Prairie, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, with Rev. Frank Gaylord presiding. Burial will be at Marcellon Cemetery in Pardeeville. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, RSVP, or Sun Prairie United Methodist Church. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Laura Zakowski and staff and Sun Prairie Health Care Center for their loving care.
