Harold T. Nelson, 92, of Lone Rock, died Friday, April 19, 2013, at the VA Hospital in Madison.
He was born June 24, 1920, in Iowa County, the son of Henry and Ethel (Love) Nelson. Harold served in the US Army in the 32nd Red Arrow Division in the South Pacific and the occupation of Japan during WWII.
On November 27, 1947, Harold married Bette Clemo in Spring Green. Harold enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, and beekeeping. His family was the most important thing in Harold’s life.
Harold is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bette of Lone Rock; daughter, Cheri (Nick) Bristol of Lone Rock; two granddaughters, Heather (John) McDonald of Spring Green, Kris Bristol of Lone Rock; five great-grandchildren, Britni (Mike) Gruber, Taylor Yager, Cody Maxwell, Kelsi Yager, Ava McDonald, all of Spring Green; two brothers; three sisters; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
As per Harold’s request a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service of Richland Center is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences can be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
