Harold Sterling Cupp, 86, of Richland Center died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Community Living Center in Madison. He was born April 20, 1930 in Gillingham the son of Glennis and Laura Mae (Stoddard) Cupp. Harold served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. On May 19, 1956 Harold was united in marriage to Bonita Goplin and she preceded him in death on April 26, 1996. On January 5, 2001 Harold was united in marriage to Marcella Strothman and she preceded him in death on December 6, 2008. He farmed in the Gillingham area.

Harold is survived by two children: Dan (fiancé Brenda Gaudette) Cupp of Richland Center, Diane (John) Guelig of Richland Center; stepson: Mark (Vicky) Strothman of Arizona; six grandchildren: Sarah (Brett) Iverson, Ellie Cupp, Trinity Pulvermacher, Ryan, Mckenzie and Alyssa Marshall; two great-grandchildren: Aaron and Lincoln Iverson; two sisters: Lucille Kunes of Buena Vista, Colorado, Linda (Mel) Felton of Richland Center; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wives Bonita and Marcella, brother-in-law Jim Kunes, and niece Glennis Mae Kunes.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Fancy Creek Cemetery where military graveside rites will be provided by the Local Military Memorial Honors Unit. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. The family suggest memorials in Harold’s name be directed to the Richland County Military Memorial or GRACE. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
