Gregory G. Grossmann, 67, of Whitewater, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
Greg was born on October 30, 1948 in Madison, son of the late Alvin “Sonny” and Irene (Schleuter) Grossman. Greg married Betty Hoge of Milton on November 9, 1968.
Greg was a lifelong avid fan of Jefferson Speedway Racing. He will be remembered by many as a school bus driver for the Fort Atkinson School District and Double Three Transportation for many years. Prior to retirement, Greg drove over the road semi for Counsell Trucking.
Greg is survived by his children, Tammy (Andrew) Wells of Whitewater, Tonia Grossman of Fort Atkinson and Tyson (Renee) Grossman of Janesville; grandchildren, Roth Wells, Zack and Hana Grossman; step grandchildren, Kaitee and Brynn Witke; brother, Gary Grossman of Arkansas and sisters, Nancy Wilde of Louisiana and Susan (Larry) Deneke of Arizona. He is also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dennis Wilde and sister-in-law, Josie Grossman.
At Greg’s request there will be no funeral service, however a celebration of his life with family and friends will be held on October 30 at Rock River Lanes in Fort Atkinson from 2 to 5 p.m.
The Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
