Gladys E. Schultz

Gladys E. Schultz, age 97, of Janesville, and a resident of Rock Haven for the past 2 years, died on Saturday afternoon, March 16, 2013, at Rock Haven Nursing Home. She was born in South Beloit on Nov. 16, 1915, the daughter of Chester E. and Fredericka (Maveus) Boss. She married Fred J. Schultz in Beloit on April 7, 1934, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2001. Gladys had been a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Church Women, and RSVP.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Robert (Phyllis) Schultz of Janesville and James (Eva) Schultz of Ladysmith; 2 daughters, Beverly (Thomas) Geske of Janesville and Marilyn (Sean) Heuser-Keagy of Snohomish, WA; 8 grandchildren: Susan (Steve) Staaland, Wendy (Mike) Demet, Robert J. (Jean) Schultz, Jr., Jill (Ron) Kettle, Mark (Kim) Schultz, Nathan (Trinh) Heuser, Lynn (Rob) Schultz and Brian (Brenda) Geske; 13 great grandchildren: Emily (Brian) Godfrey, Miranda (Ryan) Barta, and Michael Staaland, Alexandra and John Demet, Madeline (Matt) Minnis, Katherine and Jessica Schultz, Preston Heuser, Megan, Natalie and Carolyn Schultz, and David Geske; and 4 great great grandchildren: Dylan, Tyler, Caitlin, and Rylin Barta. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Jeffrey Thomas Geske; great grandchild, Austin James Schultz; 5 brothers: Vernon, George, Carl, Alvin and Norman Boss; and 3 sisters: Berniece Quackenbush, Lona Hopp and Ada Drum.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at MT. ZION UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 2130 Mt. Zion Ave., Janesville, with Rev. Maribel Celiz officiating. A visitation will take place on Thursday from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at the church. Interment will be in Milton Cemetery.
