Gary Bremer, age 64 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Sunday, August 5, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells with Reverend Dennis Schueler officiating. Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 11:30 A.M. Military rites will be provided by the Carl E. Grabman American Legion Post #329 of Briggsville, Wisconsin.
Gary was born May 14, 1948 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin the son of Orville and Phyllis (Yaroch) Bremer and grew up in Beaver Dam. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in February of 1967 and received the National Defense Service Medal, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Following an honorable discharge in February of 1969 he returned home and worked for the Milwaukee Road railroad, Verizon Telephone and lastly at the Wilderness Resort. Gary eagerly looked forward to deer hunting, he enjoyed his dogs, was a loyal Packer fan and enjoyed being with his family and friends. Special to him were his beloved labs and beagles especially Mickey and Sassy, the only little dog he ever loved.
Gary is survived by his longtime companion, Marlene Hartman and daughter, Kristin (Michael) Brady; ex-wife, Jeannie Diane Wing and daughters, Patricia (Roman) Kuzyk and Kari Lalk; a sister, Gail (Chuck) Linde; and Marlene’s son, Jesse Graham; grandchildren, Lyndzey Hudzinski; Maria, Andrew and Michyle Kuzyk; Brianna, Alyssa and Trevor Lalk; and Cullen and Gunnar Brady. He was preceded in death by his parents.
