Elaine M. Bailey, 85, of Richland Center died Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Richland Hospital. She was born November 5, 1927 the daughter of Russell and Theresa Dinger. On March 2, 1946 Elaine married Edwin Bailey in Mauston. She was an avid gardener, homemaker, canner, sewer, and quilter. The love of Elaine’s life was her flowers and family. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Elaine is survived by her five children, Susan (Mike) Collins of Richland Center, Mary (Dennis Bobb) Poole of Muscoda, Kenneth (Joyce-Ann) Bailey of Muscoda, Earl (Lori) Bailey of Excelsior, Lisa (Roland) Simonitsch of Richland Center, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, sister, Marge Erbs (Joe) of Mauston, special son-in-law, Bob Burkheimer of Richland Center, sister-in-law Nina Kimpton of Tomah, special goddaughter, Karen Ziegler of Sparta, many other relatives, and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edwin, son-in-law Gary Poole, eight brothers and sisters, three great-grandchildren, twins Colton and Arianna Burkheimer, and Christopher Bomkamp.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Monsingor Roger Schekel and Reverend Craig Peach will officiate. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to the family.
