Elaine L. Dittberner, age 70, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Madison on July 18, 1942 to the late William and Ada (Hauge) Mann. She married Kerment Dittberner on June 25, 1988. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, serving as secretary for the Men's Horseshoe League, and organizing the Oregon Red Brick School Reunion. She was very proud to have joined the Catholic faith in 1986, and enjoyed helping with the St. Barnabas Estate Sale.
She is survived by her husband, Kerment Dittberner; her children, Donald (Ann) Slotty of Sauk City, Tammy Cooper of Des Moines, IA, Shiela (Carl) Steensland of Verona, Sandra (John) Wallenkamp of Blue Mounds; Sharon (Freddie) Amador of Mazomanie and James Dittberner of Baraboo; a brother George Mann of Fairchild; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son in-law, Lee Cooper; and 2 sons, Steven and Scott Dittberner.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, from 3:00 pm until 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Mazomanie. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
