MADISON- Edythmaree “Toddy” Glotz, age 90, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Meriter Hospital. Toddy was born in La Crosse, on August 10, 1922, to Frank and Edyth (Schwartz) Neubauer. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1946 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.L.S. degree in 1962 from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She married Norman Glotz on November 2, 1967. Toddy worked as the librarian at Lakeview Elementary School until her retirement in June of 1987. Toddy was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and volunteered in the church library for 20 years. She was a prayer friend to Confirmands, a member of XYZ (Xtra Years of Zest), Wisconsin Retired Educators Association, Madison Area Retired Educators Association, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 123, Friends of the C.C.B.C., Madison Teacher’s Inc., AARP, Madison East Kiwanis Club, Room Grandmother and volunteer at Maywood School in Monona for 15 years, and representative of the Landing Condo Inc., for the Lake Point Drive and Broadway neighborhood association for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, Norman. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Ann Neubauer; and her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the TREE OF LIFE CHAPEL, OAKWOOD VILLAGE PRAIRIE RIDE CAMPUS (EAST), 5565 Tancho Drive, with the Rev. Marsha Swenson presiding. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
