Of her many accomplishments in life Denise was particularly proud of her work in India. Her interest in medicine led her to work in a remote village hospital. Enchanted with the towns people Denise went on to form a cooperative between the silk worm growers, weavers, and merchants so that for the first time the women weavers in the Village could earn a living wage.
