Madison-David A. Digney, age 56, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison after a brief illness.
He was born on March 10, 1956 in Madison, the son of Robert and Rosemary (Pickarts) Digney. David graduated from Lafollette High School in 1974. He worked at the family business, Bob’s Rod & Reel, for 38 years. He was also a virtual pilot for American Airlines. He enjoyed planes, trains, and taking pictures of family and friends. David married Mary (O’Malley) Digney in 1978 and together they had two daughters. In 2004, David married Judy (Tysver) Digney.
David is survived by his wife, Judy Digney; mother, Rosemary Digney; ex-wife Mary Digney; daughters, Sara (Dan) Kelly and Caitlin Digney; stepsons, Michael (Carrie) Tysver and Dex Tysver; grandchildren, Sadie Tysver, Sadric Tysver, Molly Kelly, Finley Kelly and a future grandchild; and his best pal golden retriever Digger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Digney in 2001.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, February 15, 2013, at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 413 Dempsey Rd, Madison, with Fr. Kent Schmitt officiating. A visitation will take place from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N Sherman Ave, Madison. A second visitation will take place at the church from 10am until the time of service. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.
