Dale Ernest Kimpel

Dale Ernest Kimpel, 90, of Muscoda and Richland Center died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Golden Living Center, Riverdale. He was born November 16, 1922 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son Herbert and Martha (Peterson) Kimple. Dale served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Dale married Margaret Neighbor and to this union three daughters were born, Pamela, Sandra, and Mary Ellen. The family lived in the Milwaukee area and moved to New Berlin in 1954 were Dale had a two acre garden. Dale and Margaret served as the President and Secretary of the Milwaukee County Organic Gardening Club. Dale worked various factory and sales jobs in the Milwaukee area. He loved music and attended many musicals, concerts, and plays. Dale taught himself to play harmonica. Dale and Margaret divorced in the 1980. He later moved to Gracious Way in Muscoda where he enjoyed all of the company and friend he made over the past three years.

Dale is survived by two daughters: Pamela Bradford of Madison, Mary Ellen Bradford of Waunakee, five granddaughters: six great-children and one on the way, son in law, Michael Hammer of Waunakee, many other relatives, and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister Larry Kimpel, Carol Jean Johnson, Curt Kimpel, and Cliff Kimpel.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home, 412 N. Iowa St., Muscoda. Friend may call at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
