MADISON-Coralie Claire “Corky” Roath-Bolduc-Wiganowsky, age 81, passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. She was born on Aug. 8, 1931, in McHenry, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Nora (Frye) Roath. As a young woman, Corky was adventurous; she loved the thrill of being a stock car racer before the responsibilities of a young mother took precedence. Corky married Melvin “Mike” Wiganowsky on Sept. 23, 1978. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Corky was also active in the VFW Post No. 7591 Auxiliary and American Legion No. 501. Along with Mike, Corky marched in many parades and was a member of the honor guard. She enjoyed dancing and bowling with her husband.
She is survived by her three sons, James (Debbie) Bolduc, Charles (fiancée, Donna Mann) Bolduc, and John (Karen) Luetscher; daughter, Vicki Bolduc (Leon) Weber; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, Melvin “Mike”; her parents; three sisters, Arlene (Cliff) Hale, Leone (Ben) Larson, and Jean (Archie) Larson; and brother, Charles (Anita) Roath.
Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. Inurnment will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, with a VFW Auxiliary Pass and Review being held at 6:30 p.m.
