Constance "Connie" M. Williams,
JANESVILLE---Constance "Connie" M. Williams, age 63, of Janesville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Huntington Memory Care, with her children by her side. Connie struggled with complications from Parkinson's disease and dementia over the past several years. She was born in Janesville on June 24, 1949, the daughter of Sherman and Mary Ann (Osborn) Arneson. She had been a Janesville resident her entire life. Connie married James W. Williams on June 21, 1980. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2012. She was employed with the Bank of Janesville (Valley Bank) and later Rock County Electrical Co-Op until she retired. She also worked part time for Hallmark servicing local accounts. Connie was an organizer for all parties and loved decorating her tables with her beautiful dishes for all occasions. She had an obsession for dishes and linens and was always bringing home yet another treasure only for Dad to look at her and say "Aye yai yai". She also loved to shop and she would be the first one at Boston Store for a great sale. At Christmastime she would say "let's jump in our holiday sleigh" and she and Dad would shop from sun up until sun down. She loved to spend time with her dearest grandchildren. Connie was always planning the next tea party for them and even the grandsons attended. Chocolate never lasted long in Connie's house, and at a lot of meals she ate her dessert first. She sure had one heck of a sweet tooth. Connie loved to turn up the music in the living room and dance for hours, when she was able.
She is survived by her 3 children: Brian (Kristine) Williams, Angela (Dennis) Thiele and Erica (Mike) Wagner all of Janesville; 7 cherished grandchildren: Adam, Megan, Keegan, Kiley, Kahler, Chloe, and Claire; brothers, Jim (Terry) Arneson and Steve (Peg) Arneson both of Janesville;a great-grandchild due in March 2013; and sister, Laurie (Mark) Ernst of Belvidere; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; in-laws, James and Kay Williams; and many special aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH with Rev. James Kuhn officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. Lasting memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or Agrace HospiceCare, Inc.
Connie was a loving wife, mother, "Nana", sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend too many. She was known as the "party planner". She will be sadly missed by all. She has been reunited with the love of her life and everlasting true love.
The family would like to send a sincere thank you to all who supported and loved Mom over the past few years. A special thank you to Huntington Place Memory Care (Sandy and Patty), and Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. for all you support.
