OREGON-Clarence J. Boerth, age 83, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on November 8, 1929, the son of Clarence J. and Emma W. (Lorch) Boerth, Sr. Clarence married Ruth Hayden on June 23, 1962, in Milwaukee. He worked for RESCO for almost 30 years, beginning as a traveling salesman and working his way up to District Manager. Clarence enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing Sheepshead with his card buddies. He rarely missed the Tuesday breakfast club with his friends. He enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels with the Oregon Senior Center. When his family was younger, their favorite summer activity was going to the north woods for vacation, where Clarence spent endless hours driving his boat for novice waterskiers. When he wasn’t busy working his current jigsaw puzzle, or watching every western movie on cable, Clarence could be found outside keeping all the oak leaves off his lawn and setting the neighborhood standard for grass length and neatness.

Clarence is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth; children, Susan (Jack) Mielke, Tracy (Bob) Wiedholz, Tom (Julia) Boerth, Jim (Sue) Boerth, and John Boerth; grandchildren, Sam Mielke, Kayla, Ryan, and Ben Wiedholz, Peter, Erich, and Caroline Boerth, Kathy (Bill) Andersen, Cindy Boerth, and Stacey (Justin) Gohlke; three great-grandchildren, Abby, Charlie, and Maddy Andersen; and sister, Eunice Payne. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ray Payne.
