MADISON-Chester “Chet” Fisher Jr., age 57, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013.
He was born the son of Chester and Charlotte (Olson) Fisher. Chet was a member of Bethesda Christian Fellowship for more than 30 years. He was baptized and is a current member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Chet had the love of Christ in his heart. He was a client of the MARC Center in Stoughton for more than 30 years. Chet loved people and enjoyed family outings. He was known for his hugs and smiles. Chet won people over with his charm and knew how to light up a room. Wherever Chet went, he was the ambassador of love. He was a big ball of joy in a little package.
Chet is survived by his brother, Dean (Karen) Fisher; sisters, Patsy (Dave) Otis and Mary (Ron) Larsen-Halbert; very special aunt, Frannie Patton; uncle, Benny; aunt, Ginny; and many special cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Evie Schmid.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, with Pastor Bryan Peterson presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare and the MARC Center in Stoughton.
