MADISON-Benedict John Mrugala, age 62, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012. He was born on April 26, 1950, in Laona, the son of John and LaVern (Murray) Mrugala. Benedict graduated from Goodman High School in 1969. He attended MATC, UW-Madison, and Marquette University. Benedict worked for A.O. Smith for 30 years, and was president of Union 19806 from 1984 until 1986. He also worked on the Ranger Line. Benedict enjoyed fishing, hunting, car and tractor shows, and was an avid Packers fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with family, friends, and neighbors; especially the grandchildren.

Benedict is survived by his children, Victoria Black of New York, Theresa (Brad) Hext of Wisconsin, and Marcus (Rachel) Mrugala of Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; mother, LaVern; siblings, Bernie (Deb) Mrugala, Alice Kvalkeim, Diane (Paul) Garhart, Donna Mrugala, and Betty (Kevin) Koepke. He was preceded in death by his father; and very close cousin, Ray Marciulionis.

Memorial services will be held at CHRIST OUR SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH, N59W22476 Silver Spring Dr., Sussex at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, Gunderson_Funeral memorials may be made to Toy's for Tots.
