Anna G. Cooper, age 91, of Richland Center, died on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Schmitt Woodland Hills. Anna was born in Vaugh’s Mill, Kentucky on May 16, 1921, the daughter of Clarence and Nanny (Thacker) Estes. She grew up in Appalachia, and was educated at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In need of a ride, she was fortunate enough to meet Harry Cooper, and they wed September 21, 1951. In addition to farming with her husband and raising their daughter, Anna taught Home Economics, served as a County Agent, a 4-H project supervisor, and as a judge at numerous County Fairs and State of Wisconsin Fairs for several years. She also worked for a time in food service at Schmitt Woodland Hills, retiring in her 80’s. When she found time, she made some fabulous quilts.

their daughter Nancy ‘Wendy’ (David) Breen of Sierra Vista, Arizona
One granddaughter Colleen Breen of Scottsdale, Arizona
Nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, and her four siblings: Mattie, Lonnie, Cecil and Claude.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Pastor Randy Sanders will officiate and burial will be in the Richland Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Cooper family.
