Alan L. Watson, age 62, of Janesville, went to be home with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care. He was born in Janesville on April 18, 1954, the son of Lyman D. and Jean Kuschel (Fields) Watson. He graduated from Parker High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Viet Nam War. Alan married Terry Carlson on July 1, 2002, in Gatlinburg, TN. He retired from General Motors on April 11, 2009. He was a member of Harvesters Church-Rock County, Janesville, studied the Bible avidly and enjoyed cross word puzzles.

Alan is survived by his wife, Terry Watson; 5 children: Alicia (Jason) Lux, Daniel Watson, Sarah (Mark) Kingston, Mathew Watson and Michael Carlson; 15 grandchildren; God son, Austin Dallman; 6 siblings: Alice (Ken) Warren, Mary Bienash, Roger (Rhonda) Richter, Karen (John) Seichter, Philip Richter and Jean (Bill) Roehl; brother in Christ, Chris (Lisa) Ramirez; and many nieces and nephews, and other beloved family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Hannah Kristine Lux; 3 siblings: Gary Richter, Cheryl Piccone and Kevin "Joe" Richter; and great nephew, Shawn Michael Richter.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Pastor Tim Hartley officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and again on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
