William M. Lueck, age 66 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells with Reverend Craig Wolfgarm officiating. Burial will be at the Newport Lutheran Cemetery. Military Rites will be provided by the Harold B. Larkin American Legion Post # 187 of Wisconsin Dells. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
William was born December 11, 1946 in Baraboo, Wisconsin the son of Kenneth and Evelyn (Brown) Lueck. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS America, USS Independence and with the Mobile Riverine Force. He was a two time Purple Heart recipient while serving in two tours in Vietnam. He loved the outdoors, gardening and fishing as well as being a ham radio operator.
William is survived by his brothers and sisters, Kenneth (Mirian) of Wisconsin Dells, Dennis (Mary) of Waunakee, WI, Christie of Poynette, WI, Steven (Patricia) of Wisconsin Dells, Lisa (William) Kurz of Wisconsin Dells, Barbara Carlson of Wisconsin Dells, Mary (Charles) Novy of Reedsburg, WI and John of West Bend, WI. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim.
