Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville. Rev. Jeff Pedersen will officiate. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church. Roni was born on November 26, 1957 at Finley Hospital, Dubuque, the daughter of Rodger and Ila Jean (Seffrood) Selleck. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1975. She attended Southwest Technical College, Fennimore and later Capri College, Dubuque. She was united in marriage to Jack Brogley on September 2, 1978 at the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville. They farmed west of Platteville for over 30 years together. Her love of the outdoors/ farmland ran deep within her, just like her dedication towards raising her calves. Roni was a proud mother of her two children, Josh and Sonja and grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters, Elaina and Isabella. She was a very loving person that easily touched the hearts a multitude of people, which is apparent by the way many young people that called her “Mom”.
Roni is survived by her husband, Jack of Platteville; two children, Joshua (Jen Myers) Brogley of Cedar Rapids, IA; Sonja (Shannon Plowman) Johnson-Brogley of Dubuque; two granddaughters, Elaina and Isabella; parents, Rodger and Ila Jean Selleck of Mineral Point, WI; father and mother-in-law, Robert “Bob” and Elaine Brogley of Platteville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve (Tammy) Brogley of Cuba City, WI; Tom (Barb) Brogely, Brad (Jessica) Brogley and Rod (fiancé, Jamie Faherty) Brogley all of Platteville; many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Angel. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and dear extended family member, Casey Craugh on December 27, 2011.
