Rio - Rosanne Byrnes, age 70, passed away in her home on Sunday, November 10, 2013, after a short, intense battle with cancer, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She was born on May 26, 1943 in Superior, Wisconsin, to Robert and Elverna (Hoffmockel) Byrnes. Rosanne graduated from Superior East High School and attended business college. She worked in the insurance field for many years before moving on to retail at Kwik-Trip and JC Penney. Family was important to Rosanne, and her holiday gatherings were legendary events! She spent her spare time shopping, gardening, baking, decorating her home in Rio, traveling across the country to visit relatives, and cheering on the Badgers and Packers.
Surviving Rosanne are her children, Bobbie Salveson of Seattle, WA, Barry (Lonna) Bagwell of Poynette, and Alan (Nicole) Bagwell of Rio; grandchildren, Owen, Nathan, and Collin Salveson, Alexandria and Samantha Bagwell, and Ryan and Danielle Bagwell; her brother, Robert (Dianne) Byrnes and her sister, Carol (Donald) Nelson; her cat, “Nutmeg,” and her beloved puppy, “Charlie.” Rosanne was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elverna and her brother Duane.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 5-7 PM at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road in DeForest, WI. Immediately after the memorial, a gathering will be held at the Leeds Town Hall on Hwy 60 in Arlington.
