Pamela Wiora, age 59 of Mauston, Wisconsin died Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Mauston with Pastor Cheryl Fleckenstein officiating. Burial will be at the East Koshkonong Lutheran Cemetery near Cambridge, Wisconsin on Friday at approximately 3:15 p.m. Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Pamela was born June 27, 1954 the daughter of Robert and Marilyn (Klusmeyer) Veum. She eventually graduated from college with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She put this to good use by teaching for over 27 years mostly in the Mauston area. In June of 1981 she married James Wiora. With their boys she was a soccer, hockey and football mom and was involved with all their activities. Pam took an early retirement at age 55 and stayed busy with church functions, was a member of the Retired Juneau County Teachers, the Mauston Lioness Club and a strong supporter of the Mauston library. Her family and all the children she taught meant the world to her and she cared deeply for everyone. She will be sadly missed.
Pam is survived by her husband, James; sons, Christopher of Mauston, Benjamin of Rochester, Minnesota and Gregory of Minneapolis, Minnesota; father, Robert Veum, Sr. of Cambridge; brothers, Randy (Beth) Veum and Robert Jr. (Monica) Veum both of Cambridge and Steve (Kim) Veum of Raleigh, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her mother and a son, Nicholas.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Juneau County Relay for Life.
