Marion M. Carley, age 88, of Richland Center, died unexpectedly at Meriter Hospital in Madison on July 19, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Spring Green, WI on February 22, 1926, the daughter of Orrin C. and Mabel F. (Slauson) Forbes. Marion met Bernard ‘Bun’ Carley and they were married May 14, 1944 in Tyler, Texas. They raised their family together and owned and managed Towne Taxi and many rental properties in Richland Center. In earlier years, Marion made many acquaintances while assisting with cleaning.
Survivors include: Loving children: Lyle (Sue) Carley, Kevin (Sue) Carley, Lynn Carley(Duane Jewell), Kenda (Ed) McConkey, Karen Carley (Dave Spencer), and Loren Carley all of Richland Center, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. One sister: Betty (Arnie) Migliano of Kenosha. Her sister in law: Janice Forbes of Platteville
Marion was preceded in death by her husband Bernard ‘Bun’ Carley September 14, 1992; by her parents, and brothers: Merle Forbes and Lyle Forbes in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Burial will be in the Spring Green Cemetery. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM or on Thursday from noon until service time.
