Louis Francis Parks

Louis Francis Parks, 85 of Brooks (Oxford), Wisconsin passed away peacefully surrounded by his family March 18, 2013 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, Wisconsin, following an unexpected illness.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford with Reverend Richard Noble officiating. Burial will be at the Oxford Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Friday from 9 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.

Louis was the son of Earl and Nellie "Noyes" Parks born in Brooks, Wisconsin on January 4, 1928. He went to school until the 8th grade and then into the working world and later enlisted in the Army. He married Angelina Stafford in September 1953 which ended in divorce but was blessed with two daughters, Jeanne Marie and Julie Ann. Later in life Louis remarried his beloved Carol Rose in September 1988 and they were married 12 years until she passed due to the complications of a stroke. His Chihuahua, Munchie became his faithful companion. Louis worked for several factories and also maintained his small family farm up until his retirement in 1990. He always loved his farming, selling farm fresh eggs to the locals and his trips to Maggie Mae's for country music, chili and potato salad.

Louis is survived by his daughters; Jeanne (Joseph) Rykiel of Oxford and Julie (Phillip) Wampler of Oxford; grandchildren; Daniel Rykiel (Jessica), Michelle Hilt (Jeff), Jeanette Rykiel (Jason),Jolene Cochenet (Randy),Melissa Wampler (Walt),Jennifer Armstrong (Christopher); great-grandchildren: Tony Cochenet, Dallas Vinney, Devon Vinney, Aaron Frydrych, Jacob Rykiel, Kera Hyatt, Daniel Rykiel, Raelyn Anagnostopoulos, Preston Wampler, Riley Stone, Aidan Wampler, Taylor Roberts; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Brian Anderson (Michelle) and family.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents; all of his brothers and sisters; ex-wife and mother of his daughters, Angelina Stafford; his wife, Carol Rose and his grandson, James Phillip Wampler.

In lieu of flowers, cards and memorials are asked to be directed to the family.
