John L. Henry, age 82 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the United Presbyterian Church in Wisconsin Dells with Pastor Joe Corbin officiating. Visitation will be held at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton, Wisconsin on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the United Presbyterian Church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 10:00.
John was born August 5, 1930 in Bagley, Wisconsin the son of Clifford and Veva (Brown) Henry. He married Audrey Willard on March 12, 1955 in Wisconsin Dells. He was active with the Dells Area United Fund and on the Board of Director for the Wisconsin River Walleye Rally. He worked at Badger Ordinance, Chalet Lanes and was the owner/operator of Henry’s T.V. Repair Service. He loved the Brewers, Model Railroading and Nascar racing. But most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
John is survived by his daughters, Debra (Brain) Kehrmann of Milwaukee, WI, Linda Henry (Jeff Weber) of Iron Ridge, WI, Judy Kraus (Perry Zinke) and Mary (Dean) Stafford both of Wisconsin Dells; sister, Jean Balsmeider (Charles); brothers, Clarence “Tige” Henry, Gerald (Lori) Henry and Alan (Judy) Henry; sister-in-law, Shirley Henry; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Audrey and his brother, Curtis.
