Curtis R. Novinski, 45, of Platteville, died on September 6, 2013 at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at Westview Methodist Church, Platteville. Rev. Paul Glendenning will officiate. Burial will be at Big Patch Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Westview Methodist Church or from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Curt was born on June 21, 1968 in Lancaster, Wisconsin, the son of Robert and Patricia (Weigel) Novinski. He graduated from Belmont High School in 1986 at attended Southwest Technical College, Fennimore. After completing school he worked as a farm hand for local farmers. For over twenty years he has been employed at C B & C/ Sloan Implement, Cuba City, where he was a small engine mechanic. Curt was a member of Westview Methodist Church, where he served on the church council, was an usher, and a sound technician. Curt bowled, pitched horse shoes, played volleyball, softball, golfed, threw darts, and was an avid runner. Curt always enjoyed following the Badgers, Packers and Brewers. He enjoyed visiting and helping friends along with traveling and going on cruises. He followed his nephews in all of their school and summer activities. Curt was a blood donor and through his giving, upon his death, he continued to give through organ donation.
Curt is survived by his mother, Patricia Novinski of Platteville; brother, Craig Novinski of Barneveld, WI; sisters, Michelle (Mark) Pitzen of Mount Horeb, WI; Melody (Chris) Brunette of Platteville; nephews and niece, Jacob, Jordan, Zachary, Zaden, Zavier Brunette, Luke and Carter Novinski, Sierra and Collin Pitzen. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Novinski on July 31, 2006.
