Madison-Raymond T. Galvin Jr., age 79, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 17, 1933, the son of Raymond and Agnes (O'Connell) Galvin Sr. Raymond graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received his Masters from Washington State University. He married Joyce Lang on September 24, 1960. Raymond worked in the police administrative field as a professor, consultant and trainer. He enjoyed daily walks and movies.
Raymond is survived by his wife, of 52 years, Joyce; his children, Cathy (David) Smyth, Teri (Roger) Galvin, Kris (Todd) Grauvogl, and Jon Galvin; his grandkids, Eamon, Aidan, Isabella and one on the way; his sister Patricia; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Agnes Galvin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison, with Msgr. Donn Heiar officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary’s Care Center and Agrace HospiceCare for the care they gave to Raymond.
