Paul L. Barrett, 80, of Edmund died Friday, March 15, 2013 at his home after a long illness. He was born March 10, 1933 in Boscobel the son of Purl and Shirley (Habel) Barrett. Paul was drafted in the Navy December 7, 1955, serving on the U.S. Piedmont AD-17 destroyer tender. He was honorably discharged on August 30, 1957. Paul went to work for Findorff and helped build the V.A. Hospital in Madison. He belonged to the Labor Union. When Paul retired he owned and operated a fencing business. Paul worked very hard all of his life.

Paul is survived by a close friend; Patricia Marshall-Sales, a twin brother, Purl Barrett of Richland Center, sisters; Betty Rasmusson of Muscoda, Hazel Adams of Middleton, Mildred Seim of Boscobel, two sons; Donnie (Debbie) Barrett of Richland Center, Dennis (friend Letitia) Barrett of Milwaukee, daughter; Wanda (Bob) Chaulblin of Arizona, 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; Purl and Shirley Barrett, brothers; Clifford and Richard and sisters; Velma, Evelyn, Dorothy, Leona, Ester and Lois Ann.

Memorial services will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home, in Muscoda, with Pastor Duane Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Muscoda Cemetery where Military Graveside Rites will be provided by the Muscoda American Legion Post 85. Friends may call at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM.
