Cowboys Special Teams Coach DeCamillis Released From Hospital

Arlington, TX (Sports Network)- Dallas Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis is resting at home with his family after being released from Parkland Hospital Sunday night.

The 43-year-old DeCamillis sustained a fracture of one of his cervical vertebrae when the roof of the Cowboys indoor practice facility fell on May 2 during a thunderstorm. He underwent surgery to stabilize the fracture last Monday.

"I want to take this opportunity to express my family's overwhelming gratitude to every person that we have come in contact with at Parkland Hospital," said DeCamillis. "The care, professionalism, and support that I received were way beyond outstanding. My family and I look at the outcome of my surgery as both a miracle and a blessing, and we will forever be grateful to every single Parkland employee and emergency medical representative who played a part."

The collapse left Cowboys scouting assistant Rich Behm paralyzed from the waist down.
