MADISON, Wis. -

Madison police are looking for a hit-and-run driver after a woman was hit early Tuesday morning on the city's southwest side.

The incident happened around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday at the corner of Dolphin Drive and Urich Terrace.

According to police, the victim was clipped by the passenger-side mirror of a black SUV after the driver took a wide turn while turning left from southbound Dolphin Drive.

Police said the woman fell to the pavement and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including abrasions and possibly a broken arm.

Police said the victim had gone out for a walk because she wanted some exercise at an hour when temperatures were a bit cooler.
