A Boscobel woman was sentenced Tuesday to home confinement, probation and community service for selling morphine pills.
Mary Grant, 63, is one of four charged after morphine killed Jordan Faulkner. Police said he overdosed on morphine and died Jan. 13, 2013. Each of the accused received federal indictments.
In January, Grant pleaded guilty to distributing morphine.
Prosecutors said Grant sold nine morphine pills on three occasions in March 2013 to an informant working for the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force. They believe Grant also distributed morphine between August 2011 and March 2013.
Federal sentencing guidelines called for 18 to 24 months in prison. Grant was sentenced to six months of home confinement, two years of probation and 20 hours of community service.
