Wisconsin Democrats' chairman says it's a good thing that no Democratic candidate has emerged yet to challenge Republican Gov. Scott Walker in 2014.
State Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate told the crowd at the Democratic Convention in a speech the lack of a clear candidate is good and by design, Friday evening.
He says there's no use in giving Walker a target a day before it's necessary. He said candidates could emerge from the ranks of the Democrats' current leaders or from the private sector.
He did not elaborate on his remarks. He urged crowd members to support whoever runs against Walker by getting out and contacting voters.
