Wis. Rapids school staff can keep guns in vehicles
School board says firearms must be kept unloaded, cased in locked car
Wisconsin Rapids School District employees can bring guns on school property, but with some conditions.
The weapons must be unloaded and cased in a locked vehicle. The school board gave final approval to the policy change this week.
Daily Tribune Media said the board recently approved a series of weapons-related changes, including allowing off-duty police officers to carry weapons on school property and to allow liaison officers to keep weapons lockers in their school offices.
