Christopher Kimps bound couple, stole car and 30 guns
Christopher Kimps, 25, was sentenced Friday after being found guilty of robbing a couple at gunpoint in the Town of Fulton today, according to the Rock County District Attorney's Office.
Judge Kenneth W. Forbeck sentenced Kimps to serve 25 years in prison followed by 15 years of extended supervision, for a total sentence of 40 years of imprisonment.
Kimps was sentenced for the Jan. 11, 2013 home invasion of a couple.
Officials said, Kimps and a co-defendant entered the home, while masked and armed, bound the victims with duct tape, forced the male victim to open a gun vault and stole numerous firearms as well as jewelry and money from the residence.
Kimps and the co-defendant also loaded the items into the victim’s pickup truck and used the truck to transport the stolen property from the scene of the robbery.
Kimps was apprehended on Jan. 14, 2013, after a vehicle chase with officers in the Wisconsin Dells area.
