MADISON, Wis. -

A Watertown man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing child pornography Monday, according to a Department of Justice release.

David Roehl, 32, will serve the sentence consecutively to a state prison term he is currently serving for possessing child porn.

According to the release, his federal prison term will be followed by 20 years of supervised release.

Roehl pleaded guilty to the offense Aug. 20.

Judge Barbara Crabb said Roehl had a continued obsession with child porn and his case was one of the more disturbing cases she had seen.

She also noted he had convictions for battery, disorderly conduct and second-degree sexual assault, and was a risk to the community.
